How does a missing tooth make you look older?

Tooth extraction creates unwanted gaps in your smile. Any lack of teeth should be completed as soon as possible, since neglection leads to many serious medical and aesthetic consequences. In the place of a missing tooth you may place a crown or, an implant in Poland.

Such a gap in teeth causes changes in all the remaining teeth. This leads to many undesirable outcomes such as:

·        tilting and shifting of adjacent teeth

·        abrasion and the formation of micro-cracks in the remaining teeth that need to accept and bear the load that before has been distributed over a larger number of points teeth

·        bone loss at the area of tooth loss

·        premature loss of healthy teeth because of long-term bone loss in the tooth gap

·        change in facial features caused by the loss of a tooth and destabilization of other parts of the dental arch: jaws collapse, the nose may become unnaturally longer and closer to the chin, which produces more wrinkles in the neck and mouth.

So if you have a missing tooth don’t wait any longer and make an appointment at your dentist in Poland!

What causes tooth damage in our everyday life.

healthy teeth

Many things may damage your teeth – one of the most known of them is sugar. But everyone knows that. Unfortunately, we harm our teeth almost every day not even knowing about it. Some products or even activities may cause dental erosion (known also as acid erosion), which is the irreversible loss of tooth structure due to chemical dissolution by acids not of bacterial origin, so be careful while around:

  •  Sweeteners – be cautious when choosing the “light” or “no sugar” products. It’s true that you won’t get plaque from them (due to the lack of sugar) but the most common sweeteners – xylitol and sorbitol – lower the pH level in your oral cavity which leads to dental erosion. Watch out for products with fruit flavouring, gummi bears, yoghurts or sweet drinks.
  • Chlorinated water – when swimming, your teeth come in contact with chorine which damages tooth enamel, causes periodontium and tooth discoloration. If the swimming pool isn’t maintained properly, the high level of chlorine  may cause dental erosion. It’s important to remember to not only shower after swimming, but to brush your teeth as well.
  • Apples – well, not the fruit itself but the way you eat it. If you eat apples too often, because of the amount of sugar and acids in them, they may increase the risk of washing mineral nutrients out from the enamel. So eat apples, as they are healthy, but don’t forget to not eat too many or keep them too long in your mouth while eating.

If you are terrified after reading what harms your teeth, don’t be! Dental treatments in Poland are highly specialized and the equipment, service and dentists themselves are of best quality. Ironically you will pay a lot less in Poland than for the same dental treatment abroad, though the quality of treatments doesn’t vary. Many patients even agree that their treatment in Poland was more satisfactory, so if you are in need of a dentist why not visit our beautiful country and save money at the same time?

Zircon in dentistry

Although zircon is one of the oldest minerals in the world, it’s a novelty in dentistry. It is one of the most modern and best materials for dentures and dental crowns in poland and is valued among dentists because of its very high quality. Zircon’s high translucency allows you to choose the best shade of white for your teeth, making your smile look beautiful as well as natural. It is also a lasting material and is completely metal free, so dark teeth edges  will not bother you. If you care for your denture and crowns properly, they will last a lifetime as zircon’s acidproof properties prevent the absorption of harmful substances and it doesn’t discolour over time.

Our newly opened dentalclinic in Świdnik near Lublin in one of the first to use zircon in dental treatment. A big convenience for our clients are the new flight connections between Lublin and Dublin, London or Oslo.

Tidbits about dental crowns

How are super strong dental crowns in Poland created?

Full-ceramic crowns abroad are the absolute "Mercedes" among dental restorations. Ceramic mass is fired in a kiln at high temperature and pressure. Under these conditions, the components of ceramics are connected better and a strong, compact mass, ideal for crowns is produced. Ceramic crowns are very durable and strong, and at the same time highly aesthetic, since their colour can be adjusted to the enamel.

How are dental crowns put on?

A dental crown is only one way to fill the absence of teeth. The first stage of their establishment is grinding of all sides of the tooth or teeth adjacent to the gap. Another - getting impressions and determining the color of the future crowns and bridges in Poland. On the basis of the impressions the crown/bridge is performed, which is fixed to the tooth roots previously prepared and fixed with dental cement.

How do I keep the crowns stable on the teeth?

Crowns stick to the teeth by the strength of adhesion. It depends on the size and surface area of contact between the tooth and the complement. If your teeth provide the steep and tall pillars, the crown will stick well. For this reason, the dentist must grind the tooth to the correct size and shape. If damage to the tooth disqualify the use of the crown, the dentist will inform you of this and propose a different solution.

Dental crown in just 1.5 hour!

Dentists know perfectly, that the preparation and cementing of a crown for a patient usually requires at least two visits ... and a little patience. However, there is a new technology which enables the preparation and establishment of the crown in just one visit.

A number of patients, who decided on having the one-day crowns abroad performed, already know about the benefits of the procedure. To have such a crown performed, the tooth is first covered with a layer of spray titanium dioxide. Then the dentist with a special camera performs three-dimensional photographic documentation.

After connecting the camera image with the record of occlusion, which allows to fit the crown to other teeth, the computer designs the crown.

Then a special device together with a computer cleans and preapres the crown for about 15 minutes. The crown is extremely accurate and precise. After a while, the happy patient can return home with a new crown.

The system, which allows the preparing of the crown in one visit costs 150 000 dollars, and because it is so  costly, it will take some time before it is spread in world clinics.

The cost of a crown made in this way does not differ from the price of a crown produced by the conventional method.
