Dentists in Poland provide employment

Dentistry abroad, even in difficult times, underpins the economy - the field is growing nicely and gives employment to many people also unrelated to the dental treatment branch. Dentists in Poland employ specialists such as marketers, decorators, and even florists. A job for such professionals is offered primarily in dental clinics that have lots of patients, but also small offices are increasingly choosing to employ specialists or improving the company's image.

Due to the ever-growing popularity of dental tourism, clinics also employ customer service professionals, travel agnts, activity guides and translators.

Due to the fact that the dental industry, is subject to the law of the market, the proper management of the clinic is necessary as well as the properly organized staff and financial management of the company. For this reason, dental offices and clinics tend to employ more and more managers and directors. A manager organizes most of the office matters, takes care of  finances and marketing, and is responsible for personnel policy.

Offices also use the support of PR specialists, spokespersons and professionals such as massage therapist, a psychologist, educator. Thanks to this, in some offices, patients with panic anxiety can talk with a psychologist before the surgery in order to calm down and feel relaxed.

Salons of a beautiful smile enter Polish dentistry market

The investment into a beautiful smile pays off also in the course of a business: not only to people running their own dental offices, but also to the owners of beauty salons. With the growing popularity of treatments improving the aesthetics of the appearance, more and more companies offering the cultivation of beauty decide to expand their range of services by introducing more innovative treatments, such as teeth whitening abroad.

This type of medical treatment abroad seems very interesting because of its high efficiency, for instance whitening at the dentist in Poland, but at much more affordable price. This may appeal to customers. The proposed technologies allow to change the color of your teeth by up to 9 shades within 30 minutes, and restore their former whiteness.

Beauty salons have been equipped with the so-called "corner", that is the space used to whiten teeth. A lot of the already existing institutions want to enrich their offer by including such services. A cornery might be found in beauty salons, solariums, hair salons, spas and wellness zones. Ultimately, our country is expected to create 300 such points.

Is medical tourism going to be a Polish export good?

Warsaw

The Medical Tourism Chamber of Commerce (IGTM) filed an application with the Ministry of Economy to consider medical tourism an export specialization of the Polish economy.

Medical tourism is a rapidly growing global market sector in which patients travel to neighboring countries to obtain medical assistance. According to estimates, this market in 2004 was worth 40 billion dollars. Data prepared by Grail Research, LLC indicate that its value will rise to 100 billion dollars in 2012. Therefore, many countries strive to effectively promote their medical services abroad and include it into the export services offer.

- The reason for the growth of the potential of Polish medical tourism is the growth of medical costs in developed countries, long waiting lists for operations and deterioration in standards of health care - say IGTM experts.

Poland is cheaper and has the potential

Among the European Union countries, where patients already benefit from medical services in other countries, including in Poland, are: United Kingdom, Ireland, Belgium, Germany, Norway, Sweden and Denmark.

In Europe the most significant countries, where medical tourism has great potential for development because of lower costs of treatment, good medical facilities, and high quality medical services, in addition to Poland, there are also Hungary, Czech Republic, Cyprus and Turkey.

The most important factor causing an increase in the number of the foreign patients in Poland are competitive prices. And no wonder, because our prices are at least four times cheaper than in other European Union countries, and the quality of services does not differ from the standards abroad.

In Poland, the average cost of treatment in the clinic of plastic surgery ranges from 1.5 to 14 thousand PLN. For example, the price of the breast augmentation in Poland reaches eight thousand PLN and gets higher depending on the size of implants, while in Belgium, the prices start from 3.4 thousand EUR (13 thousand PLN). The nose operation in Poland costs from three thousand PLN, while its prices start in Belgian hospitals from 1875 EUR (7.2 thousand PLN). It is also several times more expensive in other Western European countries.

Poland is going to catch up with Hungary

In our region the most experience in medical tourism are the Hungarians, they first opened their market for medical services for foreigners. There are opinions that the market for medical tourism in Hungary begins to become an industry.

- It should be noted that despite some delays to the Hungarian market, we have many strengths which will allow to catch up with Hungary if properly used, and even can put us ahead of our southern neighbor. Polish doctors are respected specialists in the West and increasingly sought after. We also report on the high development of certain medical specialties - says Artur Gosk. According to him, Poland is perceived in the European Union as a country with high economic and social opportunities.

Cautious people rest better

dental treatment abroad
Check rental: suitcase packed, the house insured, insurance documents and ID cards updated. In principle, everything should be under control, even a person to water your flowers is ready. Phone calls to travel agencies, the insurer and the doctor carefully recorded in the notebook and mobile phone (just in case.) Now just an old Polish custom, sit for a while before the trip and basically you go. Is it really like this?

vacation planning often begins shortly after returning from the previous one. In the end, it is the most awaited time of the year, the driving force to find in yourself enough energy to work for the next month. We think about many things - we organize a trip to the minutest detail, we are preparing, for example, the beauty salon, hairdresser, complete deficiencies in the medicine cabinet. Unfortunately, the schedule of preparations very rarely includes a visit to the dentist. A severe toothache can change the dream vacation into a nightmare.

"Indeed, a toothache during the holidays, especially abroad, can be a real chore. However, it is not like it comes unexpectedly. If we neglect dental checks, a surprise can happen. And sometimes we are in a place, where it is difficult to count on finding the right dentist. Once, a patient with pain, who staying on holiday in Tibet, called our cener. We tried to help her find the right office, but the sanitary conditions of those who managed to locate, left much to be desired. Finally we consulted with her the content of her first aid kit, and somehow she managed to survive for another week. But when she came to our center from the airport, she was not talking about an exotic vacation in a faraway country, but about a horrible pain, which destroyed most of her travel plans. "- says the owner of one of Poznan dentistry centers.

To avoid such an adventure, you should regularly check your mouth at the dentist. Even the treatment of serious dental problems can be scheduled so that there are no unpleasant surprises during holidays. "In fact, oral health is affected by such things as diet, daily hygiene, regular visits to the doctor and hygienisation tooth so the removal of stone and sediment. If we take care of all these, the risk of holiday surprises drops to almost zero. "- explains the owner of the clinic. What is important to protect yourself against unexpected toothache does not immediately  mean curing  all the ailments, but of course such a situation would be the best solution. Sometimes simply prudence is enough.

Last minute visits

Inspection of the oral cavity before departure is not only the best recipe for ensuring a peaceful atmosphere, but also a way to avoid many problems: the need to find a doctor in the place where we are staying, and unforeseen costs that may exceed those that we normally pay. We do not have a guarantee of the quality of the treatment - such a rescue is unfortunately bound up with unpleasant consequences. For example, if a doctor we go to with our pain, does not have suitable equipment, sometimes just needs to remove the painful tooth, while our dentist could save it. So better safe than sorry and make an appointment for preventive inspection visit at least several weeks before your holiday.

Some people claim that one reason for bad vacations is bad weather. But even the most beautiful weather seems to be a nightmare when combined with a toothache. So let's make sure before you go on holiday, that you have a cheerful, healthy smile.

Dental services market in Europe

dentistry abroad

Growing awareness of health prevention and constantly improving economic conditions contribute to increased interest in Central and Eastern Europe. Over the years we can observe a significant increase in the number of dentists and dental companies, which is a result of ever-increasing demand for these services, the level of which in Poland is just one of the highest in Europe.

For the dental sector (dentists and dental technicians) the enlargement of the European Union brings many new challenges - in fact only benefits. Within the framework of the Lisbon strategy implemented by the EU - the aim is the dynamic growth in employment, the key task is to open the currently split domestic markets in the EU, so that a fully functional EU services market was comparable to national markets.

For the patients it means:

1. additional capabilities - flexibility and the choice of treatment
As a result, the European Court of Justice ruling in 1998 for dental treatment, patients have the possibility of treatment in any EU country and they receive reimbursement of its expenditure from domestic insurers. This solution is generally beneficial for patients because it allows their mobility, and rising expectations of patients will encourage dentists to continuously increase their skills, raise the quality of dental services, increase awareness of preventive dental care, develop fine and comfortable form of treatment involving not only to repair damage caused but also to ensure that patients keep their teeth for as long as possible, with an attractive appearance and well-being.

2. Polish dentists in demand- both in Poland and abroad.
Dental services market in Poland before 2005 was heavily saturated, year by year, the number of graduates of dental departments increased. Famous for training a large number of dentists, the Medical University of Lublin, every year, ended with a very large number of dentists - several times actually surpassing the market demand for dental services. For those young and inexperienced doctors in the early stages of their career it was very difficult to operate in the Polish conditions. Most young dentists from Lublin, Bialystok, Kielce, Lodz, therefore emigrated to Warsaw. In the capital, the competition was and is a huge demand for dental services, however, much higher than in other cities. This was influenced by higher earnings primarily from Warsaw. After the entry of 10 new countries to the European Union, due to the massive 'dental visits of the English, Danes and Germans, the situation changed dramatically - the interest in dental services in major cities has increased.

Fortunately, after Polish accession to the EU, young Poles are free to find work outside Poland, and this alternative is used by more and more dentists not only the Polish ones, but also from other countries in Central and Eastern Europe. The prospects for the Polish dentists are very optimistic, because of the Europe's free market, low prices of Polish services (in comparison with the countries of Western Europe) and very high quality of these services.

3.Freedom of dentists in the provision of services and setting up offices wherever they wish.
The European market opens for dentists.
Members of the German dental industry - dentists, dental technicians and producers - are well prepared to act on the European market. Highly qualified, flexible and innovative, they can count on high potential European market, whose population is now 453 million. Their problem is only the high cost of treatment in the German offices. It is the great superiority of the Central European countries - mainly Poland.

4. Foreign "tourists" visiting dental offices.
According to data from the Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency in 2005, visitors from abroad spent on treatment in Poland more than 200 million PLN. Experts estimate that this sector over the next few years will increase by as much as 25-30% annually. Mostly, for health tourism, Poland is visited by the Germans, Brits, Danes, Canadians. Englishmen are attracted mainly by the possibility to make use of dental services, several times cheaper in Poland than in Britain. Similarly, Danes and Swedes. There is no shortage of the Germans as well- they're going to Poland particularly for treatments and operations. Their Mecca is Szczecin, where nearly 800 dental offices can be found.Their owners often work with travel agencies that acquire their customers, they often organize promotional campaigns and hire coaches, which carry patients across the border. Guests also enjoy spa treatment rooms, beauty salon, hairdressers.  One customer leaves sometimes even a few thousand euros in Polish doctors' offices, including nearly half of the dentists .. International customers are becoming more involved in Central European dental market. In Poland they often spend even two weeks, passing comprehensive treatment.  Most of them are the British, who have a problem with their own health care system. Because of the fact that they choose Poland, the Czech Republic or Hungary, they save from a few to several thousand pounds. The owners of offices in these countries invest tens of millions of zloty to meet the demands of the customers. It is worth fighting for.

dentist abroad

These countries, especially Poland, offer:
• very high standard of dental services,
• modern equipment,
• high quality of treatments,
• attractive prices
• a professional medical staff.

Zurek, Doda, and Poles are pessimists - 'Guardian' frankly about Poland

dentist in poland
Poland is undergoing a period of a second 'economic miracle'.  Despite the crisis, the country continues to record economic growth. The political situation in that country is the most stable in the history of modern Poland - that 'Guardian' shows our country.

Journalists UK's largest left-wing daily - Julian Borger and Helen Pidd - visited Poland and in the report 'New Europe' have described a cross our country. How do they see and evaluate us?

Economy forward, the policy of stable

Their observations may be surprising to many. The economy of our country seen from the outside is doing quite well. According to Borger and Pidd, Poland is undergoing a period of a second 'economic miracle'. - Despite the crisis, the country continues to record economic growth - they write. Our political situation has been characterized as 'the most stable in modern Polish history'.  According to British journalists, coalitions in our parliament are extremely short-lived, as everything revolves around 'two-horse race' - the PO and PiS. There is not a word about the SLD, PSL, and PJN.

Characteristics of the Law and Justice focuses on the Kaczynski brothers. - Lech was killed in plane crash near Smolensk. His brother believes it was more than coincidence - assess the journalists. In order to represent to the British what is the power of the Polish president, they resort to the metaphor - he is stronger than in Germany, weaker than in France. In the passage devoted to Polish politics will find digression on the LPR and Self-Defense. According to Borger and Pidd their names refer to the 'old days', or PRL.

Foreign Policy - is differently, but Sikorski said improvements

According to British journalists, the Polish foreign policy is mainly based on historical experience of our country, invaded many times by the neighbors. - Moments of a test the Poles survived after the plane crash near Smolensk, where, together with the Russians, the memory of the murdered in Katyn was to be honored - they write.

Then the authors point out that everything is moving towards the better because Radoslaw Sikorski said that 'historical resentments should be put aside'. According to them, it is unclear whether this will change quite a negative attitude to the Polish neighboring countries. The authors focused primarily on the Polish relations with Russia and Germany apart from other neighboring countries such as the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Ukraine, Lithuania and Belarus, as well as the fact that foreign policy is not confined to border states.

'Whites, Catholics, a minority of mostly German'

'In Poland, there live about 40 million people and the population is declining '- the authors write. Borger and Pidd blame for that the Poles who left 'for profit' to other European countries (the most common direction of migration is still the United Kingdom - ed.) 'Guardian' Journalists believe that our government has not sufficiently madesure that young migrants have something to go home to.

The authors rely on the data from 2002, according to which the largest national minorities in Poland are Germans, Belarusians and Ukrainians. However, if verified what is the case now, they could write that into our country receives a large number of such Vietnamese, Nigerians, and Chechens. In one, however, they are right. 'Poland is a country dominated by whites, Catholics' - they write.

dentistry in poland

Polish history begins in the nineteenth century

- History does not treat Poland gently. Sticking between Germany and Russia turned out to be almost impossible - believe Borger and Pidd. It turns out that according to them our 'commonwealth' (term used toward the British Commonwealth - ed) has been divided into parts by Russia, Prussia and Austria. You can guess that it is a Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, whose structure, however, strongly differed from the system of the British Empire.

What happened next in the pages of Polish history? The authors write: 'After a period of partition, was 'Miracle of the Vistula' and the power was taken over by the hero Pilsudski, who carried out the coup. - 'Everything that happened next was 'absolute disaster' -  the start of World War II is defined.

- Hitler and Stalin, turned Poland into the field of death. They killed six million Poles - three millions of Jews and three millions of Catholics - succinctly about the Holocaust capture the authors of the article. Interestingly, according to Borger and Pidd after the war Poland was 'swallowed by Stalin', who suppressed yet another revolution in Poland.

This situation lasted until a well-known electrician came on the yard wall of Lenin and called on workers to strike. - Lech Walesa and the 'Solidarity' contributed to the collapse of the communism in Eastern Europe, and now the Poles do not allow anyone to forget about it - here, British journalists are not mistaken.

We are pessimistic, hospitable, and are not afraid to be silent

- Polish psyche is not too optimistic. This may be due to years of oppression and successive invasions. Pessimism is even visible at the Polish anthem - say journalists referring to the passage: 'Poland has not perished. '

The authors of material on our country will endeavor to make the nature of Polish society from the standpoint of the average Briton. They warn his countrymen that, in our country's polite question, 'How are you?', which in England always match up, 'Okay. Thank you.' - Here we can hear the ominous 'old poverty'.

What do Borger and Pidd separates us from the Brits? First of all, less than they we fear the awkward silence. Additionally, we are generous, hospitable and proud that our country has endured all the misery.

They are chivalrous and do not talk openly about sex

- Men in Poland are romantic, but  they rather welcome a woman by giving her hand in greeting instead of kissing her hand. In addition they are gallant and meet the expectations of Polish women who want to be passed through the door and given flowers. Poles are practicing premarital sex, but rather not talk about it loudly. The exception is the secularized Warsaw. Many parents are often unhappy when their children want to live with their partners before marriage.

- Abortion is illegal in Poland, and contraception inadequately promoted. Sex education is still regarded euphemistically, and homophobia is quite a serious problem. However, there is a little hope - this year the ruling party has expelled from its ranks one of the MPs (Robert Wegrzyn - eds.), who spoke some offensive comments about lesbians - so the authors evaluate the Poles in the paragraph entitled 'Love and sex.'

Zurek, Doda and 'they have the X-Factor!'

After reading the article of Borger and Pidd a conclusion arises- we have a big problem with the promotion of our cultural assets. During the visit to Poland, most British journalists rushed into the eyes of Doda (equivalent of Birtney Spears ), and for the most popular band they saw Kult. Most programs are, according to them, 'Dancing with the Stars' and invented by Briton Simon Cowell 'X-Factor' ('They have it too!').

As for our cooking, dumplings, sausages and soup are recommended as a classic. After mentioning that we eat lots of kebabs the topic of the delicious and easy to prepare roasted sandwich arises. To all this, we of course drink vodka and beer.

The condition of Polish cinema is, however, according to Borger and Pidd, very good. According to the section 'A Brief History of Polish cinema' the Poles like to watch Hollywood blockbusters, but have a very good film school, from which derive such personalities as Polanski, Kieslowski and Wajda.
