10 Toothbrushing Mistakes

Most people don’t put much thought into toothbrushing but dentists in Poland say is that toothbrushing is very important. Although dentistry in Poland in advanced, dentists still often need to give instructions to patients about cleaning their teeth. Here are commons mistakes people make:

1.      Brushing too often or too hard
2.      Using a tooth brush with wrong bristles
3.      Not brushing often enough - you should brush 2-3 times a day
4.     Using the wrong toothbrush
5.     Brushing the wrong way - the strokes should be vertical or circular, not horizontal.
6.      Starting in the same place each time
7.      Skipping inner tooth surfaces
8.      Not rinsing - Bacteria may flourish on an un-rinsed toothbrush.
9.      Not letting the toothbrush dry out
10.   Not changing the toothbrush often enough  - you should change it  every three or four months, or even sooner.

Dentists in Poland provide employment

Dentistry abroad, even in difficult times, underpins the economy - the field is growing nicely and gives employment to many people also unrelated to the dental treatment branch. Dentists in Poland employ specialists such as marketers, decorators, and even florists. A job for such professionals is offered primarily in dental clinics that have lots of patients, but also small offices are increasingly choosing to employ specialists or improving the company's image.

Due to the ever-growing popularity of dental tourism, clinics also employ customer service professionals, travel agnts, activity guides and translators.

Due to the fact that the dental industry, is subject to the law of the market, the proper management of the clinic is necessary as well as the properly organized staff and financial management of the company. For this reason, dental offices and clinics tend to employ more and more managers and directors. A manager organizes most of the office matters, takes care of  finances and marketing, and is responsible for personnel policy.

Offices also use the support of PR specialists, spokespersons and professionals such as massage therapist, a psychologist, educator. Thanks to this, in some offices, patients with panic anxiety can talk with a psychologist before the surgery in order to calm down and feel relaxed.

Dentistry in Poland

Be wise before the damage and visit your dentist in Poland before your dental problems develop. Although, due to the best technologies, visit to the dentist's when your tooth is already aching can still cure the problem, it will for sure not be good for your finances.

Currently, as much as 43 percent of the Poles do not go to the dentist because of the fear. But the vast majority of us, when we already decide to treat our teeth, we pay for it from our own finances. It means that the fear of the dentist is a very expensive emotion. The dentist should be visited before the decay and other oral diseases have made serious damages, not only for the sake of finances, but also because we live three times longer than our ancestor but our enamel is still the same as theirs, and we have to take care of it to last longer.

The fear of the dentist should not be an excuse to avoid dentistry abroad. Besides the well-known decay, we also have a new destroyer of the teeth: acid erosion of the enamel. The condition affects approximately 30-40 percent of the population. It is the patients themselves who cause the harm by brushing their teeth badly. They tend to perform horizontal movements of scrubbing, using too hard brushes. As a result, wrinkles are formed at the surface of the teeth near the gums, where the enamel is thinnest.

Prevention does not hurt, but the treatment may hurt a lot, because the anesthetic does not eliminate the unpleasant feeling when you see the bill issued by your own negligence.

Salons of a beautiful smile enter Polish dentistry market

The investment into a beautiful smile pays off also in the course of a business: not only to people running their own dental offices, but also to the owners of beauty salons. With the growing popularity of treatments improving the aesthetics of the appearance, more and more companies offering the cultivation of beauty decide to expand their range of services by introducing more innovative treatments, such as teeth whitening abroad.

This type of medical treatment abroad seems very interesting because of its high efficiency, for instance whitening at the dentist in Poland, but at much more affordable price. This may appeal to customers. The proposed technologies allow to change the color of your teeth by up to 9 shades within 30 minutes, and restore their former whiteness.

Beauty salons have been equipped with the so-called "corner", that is the space used to whiten teeth. A lot of the already existing institutions want to enrich their offer by including such services. A cornery might be found in beauty salons, solariums, hair salons, spas and wellness zones. Ultimately, our country is expected to create 300 such points.

Is medical tourism going to be a Polish export good?

Warsaw

The Medical Tourism Chamber of Commerce (IGTM) filed an application with the Ministry of Economy to consider medical tourism an export specialization of the Polish economy.

Medical tourism is a rapidly growing global market sector in which patients travel to neighboring countries to obtain medical assistance. According to estimates, this market in 2004 was worth 40 billion dollars. Data prepared by Grail Research, LLC indicate that its value will rise to 100 billion dollars in 2012. Therefore, many countries strive to effectively promote their medical services abroad and include it into the export services offer.

- The reason for the growth of the potential of Polish medical tourism is the growth of medical costs in developed countries, long waiting lists for operations and deterioration in standards of health care - say IGTM experts.

Poland is cheaper and has the potential

Among the European Union countries, where patients already benefit from medical services in other countries, including in Poland, are: United Kingdom, Ireland, Belgium, Germany, Norway, Sweden and Denmark.

In Europe the most significant countries, where medical tourism has great potential for development because of lower costs of treatment, good medical facilities, and high quality medical services, in addition to Poland, there are also Hungary, Czech Republic, Cyprus and Turkey.

The most important factor causing an increase in the number of the foreign patients in Poland are competitive prices. And no wonder, because our prices are at least four times cheaper than in other European Union countries, and the quality of services does not differ from the standards abroad.

In Poland, the average cost of treatment in the clinic of plastic surgery ranges from 1.5 to 14 thousand PLN. For example, the price of the breast augmentation in Poland reaches eight thousand PLN and gets higher depending on the size of implants, while in Belgium, the prices start from 3.4 thousand EUR (13 thousand PLN). The nose operation in Poland costs from three thousand PLN, while its prices start in Belgian hospitals from 1875 EUR (7.2 thousand PLN). It is also several times more expensive in other Western European countries.

Poland is going to catch up with Hungary

In our region the most experience in medical tourism are the Hungarians, they first opened their market for medical services for foreigners. There are opinions that the market for medical tourism in Hungary begins to become an industry.

- It should be noted that despite some delays to the Hungarian market, we have many strengths which will allow to catch up with Hungary if properly used, and even can put us ahead of our southern neighbor. Polish doctors are respected specialists in the West and increasingly sought after. We also report on the high development of certain medical specialties - says Artur Gosk. According to him, Poland is perceived in the European Union as a country with high economic and social opportunities.

Healthy lifestyle: choice, regime or necessity?

dental treatment in poland

Is teeth whitening or the correction of their size still fashion or a social necessity? And the demand that your dentist start dental treatment of even the smallest inflammation in the mouth: is it just taking good care of your health or the evidence of oversensitivity and hypochondria? We should seek answers in the reasons that push people to make decisions concerning their health. If the motive is the need to satisfy your personal desire to preserve health and beauty, then there is no reason for concern. However, if the choices are the result of a social or media pressure, the matter may be cause for concern.

We are increasingly facing the pressure of leading a healthy lifestyle. This trend is imposed by the media, advertising, labor market and even friends and family. Some people ask the question: is it still a fashion or a dictatorship now? Prevention is a very important factor thanks to which you can enjoy a longer fitness and beauty of your body and mind. But do you really take up the activities because of your own free will, or the decision is somewhat forced by social influences?

More and more specialists examine the problem of the potential dictatorship over health- not only in the field of medicine. The more cautious ones warn that we dangerously approached the phenomenon that is sometimes referred to as "health fascism". People become well aware of the risks associated with the unhealthy lifestyle, many of them even take the paranoia precautions. Moreover, some natural phenomena occurring in the body are increasingly being treated like a disease to be tested and treated, such as menopause. There is an interest to continue to show the new threat on the market, which makes it necessary for us to monitor our health.

The key, which will allow you to treat the rush towards maintaining good health with distance, is the answer to the question: who is telling you to be healthy and why. If you are, it's good, because decisions will be the result of your own desires. If the reason is different, you should think about your rush to healthy living. It may turn out that this race for health is the result of overwhelming influence of the media information, or is taken under the pressure of the environment in which you live.

How to ensure safety when riots broke out abroad

dentistry in Poland

Travel agencies do not want to cancel trips and reimburse tourists' travelling expenses, when in the country of your destination political unrest erupted. Tourists, who in this case, resigns from the trip must go to court.

Canceled trips and early returns from the countries stricken with political and economic unrest, cause conflicts between tourists and travel organizers concerning bills and payments. Problems involve also the tourists' claims to insurance and the lack of proper security for the travellers in case of riots.

Before leaving

Each tourist should take care of his/her safety before leaving. First of all, you must determine whether, there is no ongoing unrest in the country of your destination. Such information can be found in the media, online, by reading the recommendations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. When the Foreign Office warns against travelling to a country where the riots began, indicates the increased risk of crime, then many travel agencies suspend planned trips. In return for the already paid tour, they offer the trip in other time or different destination. Unfortunatelly, the announcement from the Foreign Office about the safety problems, does not give you any legal power to gain refund from a Travel Agency if you decide to cancel your trip.

Does the travel agancy have to propose other trip once the planned one is canceled?

In exchange for the canceled tour, the agency may propose to go to the same country at another time or to another country in the same or another time. The proposed trip should last as many days as the canceled one, and the tourist must have the same benefits and be accommodated at a hotel of the same standard and the number of stars.

When the visitor chooses a different trip, he/she is not entitled to additional compensation from the agency. In contrast, when the tourist refuses to go on the proposed trip and requests a refund, then the agency often makes various deductions. When the settlement of reimbursement is not suitable for the tourist, he/she may seek redress in court.

The tourist will not get a refund for the visa, which was paid for at the embassy of the country of the supposed destination. The Embassy charges a fee for a visa regardless of whether the tourists decided to go to the country.

Earlier return

When a tourist is already in the country of riots, the best beneficial option for her/him is when the travel agency offers the earlier return and organizes the transport. In such a case there are very often a dispute between the tourist and the agnet concerning the reimbursment of costs of the remaing part of the trip. The contract between the sides does not verify how the refund should look like in such a case. When the sides fail to reach agreement, the tourist has the right to go to court and thereby assert claims.

The tourist is in much worse situation, when the agency does not agree to the earlier return. It is also quite common that in such a case, the agency requires the torusits to sign a statement saying that they stay in the country on their own risk and they resign from any compensation. The tourist has a right to refuse to sign the statement and come back earlier. In such a case, he/she will have to pay on their own for the transport. Upon the return, however, he/she has the right to ask the office for reimbursement and compensation. The tourist must also pinpoint the damage he/she suffered. He/She has the right to demand compensation for the damage caused by earlier return.

Vacations in Poland

Poland is an ideal place to spend interesting holidays. The variety of attractions attracts travelers from different parts of the world. Here everyone will find something for themselves. Especifically for you, we present a list of the most interesting places to visit in Poland:

1. Bieszczady

A paradise for lovers of direct contact with nature, hiking and mountain lovers. In the privacy of those desolate mountains you can admire the beautiful landscapes and historic wooden churches as well as Orthodox churches. The rich flora and fauna attract visitors especially during the summer and autumn. In winter, Bieszczady are often visited by skiers.

2. Czestochowa

Czestochowa lies in the heart of the picturesque Polish Jura. It owes its fame above all the Pauline monastery and the Shrine of Our Lady of Jasna Gora, which is the main destination of pilgrimage and Marian devotion in Poland. Image of the Black Madonna of Czestochowa, Queen and Patroness announced by Polish King Jan Kazimierz in 1656, is attributed to many miracles.

3. Gdansk

Gdansk is visited by tourists, not only because of its coastal location, beautiful beaches, a healthy climate and the nearby tourist resort of Sopot. Noteworthy is the historic Old Town with the world's largest brick gothic temple. The present appearance reflects the complicated history of Gdansk. Over the centuries it has repeatedly passed from hand to hand, and the August 1980 of Gdansk is considered the beginning of the disintegration of the postwar order in Europe.

4. Krakow

The former Polish capital is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. In Krakow itself you will be enchanted by both the atmosphere of the city and historic architecture. You can see the medieval cathedral, a Renaissance castle, Baroque churches and Art Nouveau theater. However, Krakow is not just monuments and museums, but above all, a vibrant city, with numerous gardens, cafes, pubs, clubs and restaurants that fill up especially in the summer.

Krakow

5. Malbork

The Teutonic Order was founded around 1190 years in Palestine, to promote the Christian faith among the infidels. In the fourteenth century, the Teutonic Knights, invited by Prince Konrad Mazowiecki on Polish soil, conquered the tribe of pagan Prussians and moved its headquarters from Venice to Malbork. Tracing the history of the Teutonic castle of Malbork is an impressive red brick, built on the banks of the Nogat in 1274. It is the largest preserved Gothic fortress in Europe.

The picturesque region of 1000 lakes is a favorite destination for boaters, anglers, lovers of hiking and cycling and all those who appreciate peace. 7. Oswiecim

This small town, better known under the name "Auschwitz", witnessed one of the greatest crimes in human history. During World War II a German concentration camp was located here, where about 1.5 million people were killed. The exhibition in the museum, founded in the former camp site infects visitors and forces us to reflect on the essence of humanity and dignity of the human individual.

8. Tatry

The Tatras are the highest mountains between the Alps and the Caucasus. Its eternal snow covered peaks and steep slopes, while picturesque valleys and numerous ponds determine the unique charm of this place. Skiing lovers are attracted by varied skiing downhills, and those who enjoy mountain hiking, the trails are available for a total length of approximately 250 kilometers. We also recommend visiting Zakopane and Podhale- the tourist capital, where the highlander's folklore is still alive.

9. Warszawa

After World War II the Polish capital was virtually entirely reconstructed. In the center of Warsaw, there is a number of skyscrapers and it's planned to build more, but still, in terms of architecture, the Palace of Culture and Science, a souvenir from Stalinist era, mainly attracts attention. In the metropolitan city, you can also take a journey into the past by visiting the Old Town, the Royal Route, the Chopin Museum, the old Jewish ghetto, and other historic palaces.

Warsaw

10. Wroclaw

Wroclaw Old Town is built on several islands, combined by more than a hundred bridges. The capital of Lower Silesia has a varied architecture, mainly in the Gothic, Baroque and Art Nouveau. At the current face of Wroclaw you can observe German, Czech and Austrian influences. After World War II the city was inhabited by Poles, mainly from Lvov and the Borderlands.

Wroclaw

11. Wieliczka

The small town on the outskirts of Krakow, which has grown to become one of the most visited tourist attractions in Europe. There is the legendary salt mine (functioning from more than 700 years). Mystical maze with a unique 300-kilometer system of chambers and corridors is like a fairytale realm of pure salt. You can take the 2.5-hour trip during which you discover mysterious caves, salt lake and the beautiful Queen Kinga's chapel.
