Who is a candidate for immediate dentures?
Prosthetic treatment, in appropriate cases, allows for immediate dental restorations. Such dentures abroad may be made if:
- all the teeth in both jaws are removed, or only in one of jaws
- a group of teeth is removed
- the patient must adapt to wearing dentures - then immediate temporary dentures are performed, which is the first step for the user to get used to the constant wearing of dentures
- all or part of the teeth have to be removed, but for health reasons it is not advisable to remove all teeth at once - then the dentist in Poland performs a temporary prosthesis and matches them to the currently existing conditions in the oral cavity
- part of the teeth are removed, and the patient will wear permanent dentures once the other teeth are removed.
Immediate dentures should not be done when:
- patients with poor health, who should not have any surgical intervention carried out
- patients who do not care about oral hygiene and do not adjust to doctor's suggestions, and patients, which, because of their mental disability, can not be contacted;
- patients with inflammatory conditions in the oral cavity.
