Fruits are
a great source of vitamins and nutrients. They have a beneficial impact on us,
including the teeth, but under the condition that we know how to eat them. In
addition to their important nutrient values they contain acids and sugar,
which damage the enamel, by being a breeding ground for bacteria . So what
fruit is best to eat?
There are
many concerns regarding the consumption of citrus fruits and other acidic
fruits. Do not avoid them because they are a valuable source of vitamin C.
However, we should eat them in the right way - eat a given portion at a time. If
several times a day, we eat sour fruit , the enamel is exposed to the adverse
effects of acid throughout the day. Acidic fruits and juices should not be held
in your mouth for long, because it destroys the enamel.
We must
also remember that after eating servings of fruit , we should rinse our mouth
with water. Thanks to this we remove organic debris , which is a source of acid
and sugar, and water restores the proper pH.
It’s a bad
idea to eat fruit right after brushing your teeth, because we can easily damage
impaired action of acids enamel or dentin - and that can lead to tooth
sensitivity. Then you will have no choice but to make an appointment with our dentist in Poland!
