Dental implants were discovered by accident!

Modern dental implants in Poland as we know them today were actually discovered by accident! In 1952 the Swedish Professor Per-Ingvar Branemark was working on a clinical research project using rabbit bone and titanium metal. The aim of this research was to examine the blood flow within a rabbit bone using an implant titanium chamber.

Once his experiment was done and all the data collected, Professor Branemark tried to remove the implant chamber, only to discover that the rabbit bone had actually bonded with the surface of titanium metal!

For many hundreds of years dentists tried to find a substance which would successfully replace teeth, a substance that could remain permanently fixed in the jaw and wouldn’t be rejected by the body.

The discovery of titanium’s complete biocompatibility led to a breakthrough in dentistry. Nowadays, dentistry in Poland uses thousands of implants every year!

Gold for sensitive teeth

Each person with sensitive teeth knows the agonies to which it binds. Even a sip of a cold or hot drink can cause a very unpleasant feeling. Scientists in Taiwan intend to treat sensitive teeth with ... gold.
Tooth sensitivity is caused by microscopic damage to the enamel. Through these tiny cracks external stimuli reach the innervation of the tooth, causing pain.

Nanotechnologists in Taiwan decided to seal them with gold. To do this, they use the precious metal particles with diameter of only 30 nanometers (a nanometer is a billionth of a meter). Gold particles fill the slits in the enamel and the tooth again loses contact with the external environment.

Gold seals are captured using laser light. According to Taiwan scientists, the development of their method is already in a very advanced stage. In a year or two it will be possible to check the effectiveness of gold seals on  teeth on live patients.

Though in Poland, we don’t use gold to fix teeth yet, dentistry in Poland is very advanced. You will receive the best dental treatment in Poland.

Smoking and its impact on teeth

Giving up the nasty habit of smoking will benefit not only the respiratory system and cardiovascular system, but also will take care of your teeth. Smoking causes ugly discoloration of teeth, yellowing of enamel and increases the risk of developing cancer. The negative effects are visible regardless of whether the cigarette you smoke is from the lowest shelf, luxury ones or if the tobacco is made for the pipe. In any case, smoking causes damage to the beauty of a smile. Research also shows that this addiction speeds the processes of forming tartar up to three times. Tartar is particularly difficult to remove, because it is under the gums. Smokers who undergo teeth whitening treatment, without giving up the habit, in a short time after whitening observe yellowing of the enamel, and after a few weeks of a bright smile - unattractive signs return. Smoking also increases the risk of oral disease.
Overcoming the addiction is not easy - especially if you want to do from day to day. However, it is possible. Dentists in Poland know how to help patients fighting with nicotine addiction. Dental treatment in Poland is popular for its high quality and low prices.  The benefits of separating and nicotine are priceless. This results in good health and beauty.

Lack of sleep is bad to teeth

The fact that daily consumption of alcohol, stress and smoking cause oral disease has been known to dentists in Poland for years. However, surprisingly scientists received information that not sleeping enough also aggravates the condition of periodontal tissues - to the extent that it help periodontitis develop.
Japanese researchers who studied the relationship between the presence of periodontal disease, lifestyle and eating habits came to the conclusion that not sleeping long enough has influence on the development of periodontitis. They studied a group of 203 factory workers, who were also smokers. It turned out that 41% of the subjects had periodontal disease - which confirmed the negative effects of alcohol and smoking. The research also showed that those sleeping 6 or fewer hours a day had gum in worse shape than their counterparts who slept after 7 - 8 hours. If you’re not getting enough sleep and want to visit a beautiful country, it’s worth having your dental treatment in Poland.

What will help sensitive teeth?

Tooth sensitivity is a nasty illness causing pain that occurs after exposure to physical factors or  sour or sweet food. Hypersensitivity is caused by fractures on the tooth’s surface, gum reduction and the consequent unveiling of dental necks. If hypersensitivity appeares for the first time and it isn’t too bad you can handle it yourself by using the right oral hygiene products.

The following products will help:

·          A soft toothbrush,  preferably an electric one
·          tooth enamel strengthening toothpaste
·          liquid mouthwash,

All products fighting tooth hypersensitivity consist of  substances strengthening tooth enamel and closing open dentinal tubules. Among the components are: strontium chloride, potassium nitrate and amine fluorides.

In cases where the pain is getting worse, it is necessary to visit the dental office. Dentists in Poland have a lot of experience with such problems. They will clean the teeth from tartar and strengthen the tooth enamel with professional preparations. Dental treatment in Poland is painless due to professional equipment and a caring dental staff.
