What components of toothpastes provide whitening effect?


Dental treatment in Poland contains many steps. One of them is tooth whitening. Man of us use whitening toothpastes but do we know what ingredients make them whiten our smile?
Toothpastes having a whitening effect are made to provide a clean, fresh breath, and eliminate the discoloration of teeth. To get a lighter color of your enamel, to the paste are added abrasive and polishing ingredients. They include:

·        Sodium bicarbonate - an ingredient which without scratching the enamel on your teeth removes stains caused by foods, beverages, stimulants;

calcium carbonate - a natural component of chalk, a substance neutralizing acids;

·        citroxaine - one of the natural papaya enzymes that gently but effectively polishes teeth and removes stains from the enamel; 

·        Perlite - mineral granules of abrasive and polishing nature;

·        Calcium pyrophosphate - prevents the formation of tartar and assists in the removal;

·        hydrated silica - inert compound of known properties polishing enamel.
