What does teeth cleaning look like?

Very often, patients have a tendency to confuse residue on the teeth with tartar. The main difference is that it is not mineralized tooth enamel, but sediment.

The most common causes are:
·        smoking
·        consuming large amounts of coffee, tea, juices or wine.

This sediment is not very dangerous, but keep in mind that it:
·        Causes increased surface roughness of the tooth , thereby increasing the accumulation of plaque,
·        Adversely affect the aesthetics of the teeth,
·        Covers the surface of the tooth camouflaging caries.
That is why it is so important to make an appointment with a dentist in Poland for teeth cleaning every 6 months.

The procedure consists of cleaning the surface of the teeth with dental sand (often with a fruity smell), which together with water under pressure is ejected cleans the tooth. The entire procedure takes approximately 20 minutes and is completely painless. After its completion , the dentist also polishes your teeth with a special brush.
