Smoking and its impact on teeth
Giving up the nasty habit of smoking will
benefit not only the respiratory system and cardiovascular system, but also
will take care of your teeth. Smoking causes ugly discoloration of teeth,
yellowing of enamel and increases the risk of developing cancer. The negative
effects are visible regardless of whether the cigarette you smoke is from the
lowest shelf, luxury ones or if the tobacco is made for the pipe. In any case,
smoking causes damage to the beauty of a smile. Research also shows that this
addiction speeds the processes of forming tartar up to three times. Tartar is
particularly difficult to remove, because it is under the gums. Smokers who
undergo teeth whitening treatment, without giving up the habit, in a short time
after whitening observe yellowing of the enamel, and after a few weeks of a bright
smile - unattractive signs return. Smoking also increases the risk of oral
disease.

Lack of sleep is bad to teeth
The fact that daily
consumption of alcohol, stress and smoking cause oral disease has been known to
dentists in Poland for years. However, surprisingly scientists received
information that not sleeping enough also aggravates the condition of
periodontal tissues - to the extent that it help periodontitis develop.
Japanese researchers
who studied the relationship between the presence of periodontal disease,
lifestyle and eating habits came to the conclusion that not sleeping long
enough has influence on the development of periodontitis. They studied a group
of 203 factory workers, who were also smokers. It turned out that 41% of the subjects
had periodontal disease - which confirmed the negative effects of alcohol and
smoking. The research also showed that those sleeping 6 or fewer hours a day
had gum in worse shape than their counterparts who slept after 7 - 8 hours. If
you’re not getting enough sleep and want to visit a beautiful country, it’s
worth having your dental treatment in Poland.

Toothache in winter
Toothache bothers us
more often in winter than during any other season. This is because our body is
weakened in winter due to the lack of sun, movement, vitamins and a diet that
would be rich in fresh vegetables and fruits. We may experience problems with infected
teeth and neglected or untreated inflammation, some of which haven’t shown any symptoms previously. Pains and tooth
problems are also caused by the activity of the immune system, which during
this season must deal with fighting against pathogenic microorganisms.
In winter, the problem
of sensitive teeth may reveal itself -
it is mostly the result of untreated gingivitis or improper tooth brushing. The
gum line reduces and exposes the sensitive tooth neck.
Inflammation in the
mouth is a sign that it's time to meet with your dentist and look for causes of
the disease. You will find the best
dentists in Poland, which is an extremely beautiful country during
wintertime. Dentistry in Poland is maintained at a very high level – the
technologies, equipment, specialists and treatments are among the most modern
and highly developed.

Gum disease causes erectile dysfunction
A study recently was carried
out in Turkey concerning 80 men aged 30-40 years with erectile dysfunction. The
scientists compared the results of men in the group with erectile dysfunction with the control group in
which men did not have such health problems. It turned out that more than half
of the men from the first group had gum disease. In the control group only one
fifth of the men studied had problems with the periodontium. After analyzing
factors such as lifestyle, age, income, education, the researchers realised
that men who suffer from severe and chronic periodontal disease are over three times more likely to be exposed to the
risk of erectile problems. The exact cause of
this dependence isn’t known yet, but other study results suggest that it
may be due to the fact that chronic gum disease may affect the development of
cardiovascular diseases. Cardiovascular disorders, in turn, result in erectile
dysfunction.
Scientists suggest
that doctors treating patients with erectile dysfunction should take into
account the existence of factors such as periodontitis during the treatment.
Dental treatment in Poland is of the highest quality – the doctors
are well-educated with a modern approach and the treatments are done according
to the latest standards. Though the specialists are excellent all over the
country, we recommended the services of dentists in Warsaw.

How to prepare your teeth for the carnival?
A beautiful smile,
especially during a big event such as the carnival is nowadays just as
important as finding the perfect dress or shoes. Women today make appointments
not only for the beautician and hairdresser but for the dentist as well. Many
of them visit the dentist even a few months before, to make sure their smile
will be dazzling. Dentists confirm that their offices are full of patients
during the carnival season. The most
popular procedures are teeth whitening, anti-aging treatments and making them
look more natural, because naturalness is popular now. In America women like to
have white and even teeth, but the European women prefer a natural look.
Therefore they tend to choose teeth in the shade of ivory or off-white and don’t
mind minor imperfections. They focus on symmetry as symmetrical teeth make your
smile look proportional and more aesthetic in general. Dentists recommend
making an appointment while buying an anti-wrinkle cream because often teeth
are the cause of wrinkles. They wear down with time and the skin around your
mouth losses support and droops. A dentist will fix your teeth making them look
up to 10-20 years younger.
It’s important to note that dental treatmentin Poland is a lot cheaper than abroad but the service and treatment itself are
of the same or even higher standard, which leaves you time and money to
sightsee while visiting.
