Toothpaste - all you need to know

Dentists in Poland tell us about the types of toothpaste:

whitening,
antibacterial,
immunising teeth to decay,
preventing the formation of plaque,
acting anti-inflammatory,
strengthening the gum,
increasing resistance to diseases of the oral cavity,
regeneration, supporting the reconstruction of tissues,
conditioning mucosa,

There are also pastes, whose operation is omnidirectional, e.g., anticaries, anti-plaque and protecting the gums.

If you decide to use a paste of specialized operation, it should first consult a dentist. Your doctor will decide whether the paste is safe for the patient and advise how to use it (some pastes are so strong that they can not be used every day in the normal amount).

Toothpaste Composition:

abrasives (abrasive) - are the main component of paste (up to 60%), determine its cleaning properties, remove the precipitate and facilitate the elimination of plaque,
antibacterial and anticaries
foaming agents - easy removal of soft sediments and food remains,
thickeners (gelling) - maintain a semi-liquid consistency of the paste,
Preservatives - prevent the paste from drying out,

A smile with veneers

Dentists in Poland tell us that not always the only way to improve the appearance of our teeth are crowns, dentures or implants. Many people, including film stars, improve the appearance by using veneers.

These are very thin (thickness of about half a millimeter) shells of porcelain that are applied to the teeth. They change the shape and color of the enamel, so that it becomes a healthy smile - white and beautiful.

Establishment of veneers is beneficial not only for aesthetics. It also increases the durability of our incisors. The thin porcelain flakes fuse strongly with the tooth, increasing to a large extent, its strength.

Porcelain veneers are extremely thin, but their assumption requires grinding down our natural, damaged enamel. Then, a thin layer is assumed to be of very high quality cement. This allows you to merge tooth veneers.

The procedure for setting up veneers takes from five to seven days.

Implants - contraindications and complications

Contraindications:

·        poor general health of the patient,
·        unhealed teeth
·        periodontal disease or mucosa,
·        inadequate in terms of quality and quantity of alveolar bone, which prevents implant placement (bone formation is possible to the extent where there will be problems with the implant),
·        poor oral hygiene,
·        tumors,
·        AIDS,
·        osteoporosis and other rheumatic diseases,
·        hypertension,
·        diabetes,
·        mental illness,
·        allergies,
·        addictions: alcohol, cigarettes, drugs,
·        certain medications (eg steroids).

Dentists in Poland tell us that implant treatment does not apply to patients under 16 years of age, because of their bone development still continues. It is also not recommended to use implants for the treatment of persons over 65 years of age.

When tooth loss occurs we also loses the alveolar bone. This process may be inhibited only by implanting implants in Poland. Often, however, patients do not know this and so when they decide on implant treatment, they face the problem of too little bone, preventing the establishment of the implant. In such cases, the bone is regenerated using bone grafts from other parts of the body or via the special preparations that stimulate bone growth.

Factors of decay - the disease of civilization

One of the diseases of today;s civilization is decay. Its etiology is extremely complex. The appearance of dental caries and its course depends on a number of factors:
created by an individual - for example:

·        lifestyle
·        natural factors
·        systematic oral hygiene
·        dental prophylaxis compliance with guidelines

or macro-systemic: socio-economic, political, cultural, organizational.
The resultant of these factors creates an accurate picture of the disease - in relation to individuals or to populations. In the case of units the dental health status depends on both types of factors: individual and systemic.

The activities of dentists in Poland has, according to the results of studies, a relatively small impact on the behavior of dental health; it is estimated that only 15% of dental health is dependent on medical intervention. The dentists themselves only to a small extent, can improve the health of the chewing apparatus, if there is a lack of interest on the part of patients. Because the improvement in dental health depends on the patient himself.

Is teeth whitening for everybody?

White teeth are now in fashion. Those who didn't receive a white smile as a gift from their parents, often decide to improve nature, with teeth whitening in Poland. Can anyone do this treatment?
Unfortunately, no. The following people should not decide to whiten their teeth:

·        pregnant and lactating women
·        people who are allergic to any of the ingredients such as hydrogen peroxide used during bleaching
·        patients with epilepsy or Parkinson's disease
·        a person with an intense tooth sensitivity (after surgery whitening can be significant worsening of symptoms)
·        young people up to age 16 (development of teeth is not yet a fully completed)
·        people with exposed tooth necks.

What do you need to know? Dentists in Poland say that fillings will not be lightened, so you should expect to replace them. Heavy smokers need to know that during the whitening they will not be able to smoke cigarettes.
