Dental Implants Poland are perhaps the best example of the excellent, modern prosthetic treatment. Still, for many patients it is a mystery what the steps of the procedure are and how long the implants last.
Stage I involves one visit and is based on interviewing the patient and completing the basic diagnostic tests, including X-ray - most important for the doctor who will perform the procedure.
Stage II is a procedure performed under local or general anesthesia and consists of:
- Verification of the diagnosis on the condition of the bone tissue, mainly its density. It is carried out using the so-called initial drill;
- Preparation the place for the implant, the length and width of the "canal" depend on the implant type;
- Implantation of the implant and the healing screw which prevents the ingress of impurities;
- Putting stitches on the gums over the implant.
Stage III, which is carried out after about 7 -10 days - the stitches are removed.
Stage IV, which lasts about 3 - 5 months, it's time for the healing of the implant. During this time, the implant integrates with the surrounding tissue.
Stage V - initial placing of a crown on the implanted screw for a period of about 2 - 3 weeks. During this time the patient checks if she/he does not feel discomfort while using the new teeth and evaluates the implant esthetics. If there are no comments - the crown is permanently cemented.
Stage VI, which lasts the longest and involves repeated dental check-ups every half a year.
