All you should know about Teeth Whitening abroad

Even the ancient Egyptians drew attention to the whiteness of your teeth and tried to improve their appearance. Currently, a beautiful smile and white teeth are considered a very important factor for success in personal and professional life. Improving the appearance of your teeth also affects the growth of self-confidence.

What affects the color of the tooth?
- genetics
- transparency of the tooth's tissues
- mineralization of tissues
- chemical composition (mainly the ratio of calcium and phosphorus)
- color of the dentin
- enamel thickness and shade

The color of teeth is changing with time (it usually takes a darker shade). This is influenced by:

During the professional teeth whitening conducted in a dental office, hydrogen and urea peroxides  are used. Their action is often accelerated by laser or lamp.

Contraindications for bleaching:
- pregnant and nursing women
- people who are allergic to any ingredients of whitening such as hydrogen peroxide 
- patients with epilepsy or Parkinson's disease
- people with extensive tooth sensitivity (after whitening significant worsening of symptoms may occur)
- youth up to the age of 16 (development of teeth is not yet fully completed)

A relative contraindication to perform the procedure are very big and extensive dental fillings, especially in the front teeth. Fillings will not be lightened, so you should have them replaced. Smokers need to know that during whitening, they will not be allowed to smoke cigarettes.
