Lack of sleep is bad to teeth

The fact that daily consumption of alcohol, stress and smoking cause oral disease has been known to dentists in Poland for years. However, surprisingly scientists received information that not sleeping enough also aggravates the condition of periodontal tissues - to the extent that it help periodontitis develop.
Japanese researchers who studied the relationship between the presence of periodontal disease, lifestyle and eating habits came to the conclusion that not sleeping long enough has influence on the development of periodontitis. They studied a group of 203 factory workers, who were also smokers. It turned out that 41% of the subjects had periodontal disease - which confirmed the negative effects of alcohol and smoking. The research also showed that those sleeping 6 or fewer hours a day had gum in worse shape than their counterparts who slept after 7 - 8 hours. If you’re not getting enough sleep and want to visit a beautiful country, it’s worth having your dental treatment in Poland.
