Healthy teeth should be white, right?

Dentists in Poland tell us that the color of your teeth depends on the chemical composition of the enamel, including the amount of calcium and phosphorus, the transparency or the color of bone, which is located below i.e. dentin.
Healthy teeth can be not only white, but even yellow or gray. Much depends simply on your genes. What’s interesting appears that teeth which are slightly yellowish or cream color, are the least susceptible to cavities!

Your natural, ancestral tooth color, however, is not necessarily the one that actually have at the moment. It is possible that stains on your teeth. The cause may be, for example smoking cigarettes, food and beverages such as coffee, tea, red wine, fruits and vegetables with an intense, dark color (i.e., berries, carrots or beets). To prevent stains on the teeth, remove food remains from the enamel as soon as possible after the meal.

Teeth darkening may also be caused by mechanical abrasion of the teeth, dental plaque accumulation, certain antibiotics, or simply the aging process (the enamel becomes thinner).
Bright white smiles are usually the effect of teeth whitening in Poland, not good hygiene or nature.
